Case IH starts production of four models: the Quantum 65C of 65 hp, the Quantum 75C of 77 hp, the Quantum 85 C of 86 hp and the Quantum 95 C of 97 hp. They replace the existing tractors JX 1060C, 1070C, 1075C 1085C and 1095C with significant improvements and many additional equipments.
As a continuation of the material naming strategy, Case IH added a "C" which means "compact" for the new Quantum. This category of handy and versatile tractor receives a low cab allowing to reconcile the comfort of driving and the passage under buildings and spaces of low height. The Quantum C is also positioned for the daily work of municipalities.
New generation of engines 4 cylinders of 3.2 l and 4.5 l of displacement.
These engines have improved combustion to meet the latest Tier III standard. These engines now have a turbocharger, an intake cooler (intercooler) and a gas recirculation valve (EGR) as standard. These components both meet emission standards and save up to 4% fuel compared to older models.
These engines are distinguished by a maximum speed of 2,300 rpm or 200 rpm less than on the JX ranges and better performance as a higher torque and a higher torque rise. Note that they are also compatible with the use of B100 fuel.
New transmission technology
Real changes in the transmission have occurred for the launch of the Quantum C. The most current version with 2 reports under load is now improved with the Powerclutch. With the touch of a button placed under the shift knob, it can be disengaged without having to step with the foot on the pedal.
The transmission option is available in four options: 16 x 16 with Synchro Shift or Powershuttle inverter, 28 x 16 with 32 x 16 super-reducer with Powershuttle and two Powershift speeds and 44 x 16 with super reducer.
More lift power
With the more efficient engine, key components such as transmission have been significantly strengthened. The rear hitch has also been resized and now offers a lifting capacity of more than 2900 kg and the maximum allowable weight is 5250 kg. The standard hydraulic flow available at the distributors is also increased to 64 l / min.
The cabin equipment of the Quantum C has also been improved by integrating Bus-can technology. The dashboard incorporates more information on the condition of the machine and also better ergonomics with faster marks to be taken among the information essential to driving.
