The RSM of Kuhn to mow the shoulders.
Sunday, September 21, 2008Description :
Intended for use on low power tractors, the RSM complements the current range of "Spring Longer" mowers. Available in widths of 1.80m, the RSM has been developed for works such as maintenance of road verges, edges of plots or maintenance of grassed surfaces.

According to the firm, the Kuhn RSM mowing machine has the following characteristics:

- construction of "public works" type: design of the structural elements based on reconstituted elements non-tubular to withstand heavy stresses. For optimal reliability, the joints are mounted on honeycomb wear rings and the axles are locked in rotation.

- optimized mowing group: high mowing capacity thanks to a specific shape of the box, advanced position of the feeler roller for a perfect tracking of the ground, protection pads in Hardox® steel, anti-rolling baffles for optimal protection of the rotor bearings.

- kinematics: machine equipped with a hydraulic lifting of the stanchion to automatically compensate the differences of the shoulder, to mow on a plane superior to that of the road and to optimize the work in position ditch. To adapt to all working conditions, the mowing unit can be oriented from -55 ° in the ditch position to + 90 ° in the slope position.

The RSM180 verge mower has a complete equipment as standard:

- 160mm diameter roller with removable end caps with reinforced bearing protection,

- Shield plate bolted into the housing,

- Mechanical safety forwards,

- Automatic tensioning of the belts.
