The efficiency and profitability of combine harvesters requires the use of suitable frontal tools. For the 2009 season, Claas expands its range of 6, 8 and 12-row Conspeed corn pickers with the all-new Claas Conspeed Linear.
The new Claas picker series is composed of two different models:
- the Claas Conspeed 8-75 FC Linear, 8 rows, foldable, 75 cm
- the Claas Conspeed 6-75 FC Linear, 6 rows, foldable, 75 cm
The Claas Conspeed Linear corn pickers, as well as the entire Conspeed range, are designed for Claas Lexion and Tucano combine harvesters.
The Claas Conspeed picker rollers are linear and equipped with four adjustable, wear-resistant blades covered with tungsten carbide. According to Claas, the feed screw makes it possible to pull the rod without difficulty.
The blanking plates are hydraulically adjustable from the cabin and ensure extremely delicate pickling of the cobs, as well as few stems in the combine (source: Claas).
The feed chains run on plastic rails, which allows for smooth operation and a great reduction in wear.
The Claas Conspeed Linear range is equipped with horizontal rod shredders. The shredders are integrated into the transmission unit. The knives are sharp on 3 sides and also covered with a layer of tungsten carbide. This allows fine grinding and low power consumption.
The robust plastic covers protect the ears when picked. For maintenance of the functional elements, it is possible to simply remove the covers. According to Claas, an optimized crop with low losses is achieved thanks to a 3 ° flatter crop angle.
In the new transmissions are integrated the drive of the picking units, the drives of the picker rollers and the crushers. Each unit is individually protected against overload and foreign objects. This new transmission makes it possible, by simply changing gears, to adapt the speed of the harvester to the harvesting conditions.
When moving from the working position to the transport position, the outer rows are folded electro-hydraulically from the cabin to no more than three meters in width.
The Claas Conspeed Linear maize harvester is available with a variety of equipment: thatch breakers, hydraulic feeding corn rotary splitters and side cover extensions.
The driver's work is facilitated by the Claas Auto Pilot guidance system and the adaptation to the ground is achieved thanks to the Claas Auto Contour system.
All Claas Conspeed maize harvesters are produced at the Claas production site in Bad Saulgau.
