Heckel launches 2 new Gore-Tex models

A safety footwear specialist since 1970, HECKEL continues to expand its MACSOLE® ADVENTURE 3.0 outdoor range and is launching 2 innovative models: the MACTRACK 3.0 GTX high-top shoes and the MACULTIMATE 3.0 RANGER GTX winter rangers. Featuring MACSOLE® rubber soles combined with MACABSORB technology, which makes them versatile, robust and very comfortable, these new models are also equipped with Gore-Tex technology. Particularly well suited to outdoor work in difficult or even extreme conditions, these shoes are especially suitable for professionals in construction, transport, energy and agriculture.
MACSOLE® ADVENTURE 3.0, a high-tech range
Since its launch in 2021, the MACSOLE® ADVENTURE 3.0 range has been a best-seller thanks to models designed specifically for outdoor use.
A true specialist in rubber soles, HECKEL has been developing its own MACSOLE® technology for 20 years, recognized for its exceptional properties in terms of grip, elasticity, and resistance to abrasion, extreme temperatures and many chemicals. Thanks to the Agile Ankle Guard support system, MACSOLE® ADVENTURE 3.0 shoes guarantee better stability and excellent support for the foot and ankle, reducing the risk of sprains. The integrated rubber-covered toe cap is particularly resistant to abrasion and allows professionals to work crouching or kneeling without risk to the lifespan of the shoe.
In terms of comfort, the models in the range are equipped with the innovative MACABSORB technology. Placed in the heel and the forefoot, EVA foam inserts provide increased flexibility and optimal cushioning, with shock absorption 85% higher than the requirements of the standard.
As a result, wearing comfort is significantly improved and foot fatigue is considerably reduced. In addition, some models are equipped with the simple and quick BOA® Fit System closure solution as well as the lightweight and flexible D3O® metatarsal protection.
2 models 100% outdoor thanks to Gore-Tex technology
Thanks to Gore-Tex technology, the 2 new models MACTRACK 3.0 GTX and MACULTIMATE 3.0 RANGER GTX are better suited to people working in difficult or even extreme conditions and exposed to bad weather, wet conditions or severe cold.
The MACTRACK 3.0 GTX model features the Performance Comfort Footwear membrane, which offers waterproofness and breathability. Shoes with a Gore-Tex lining withstand up to 300 000 flexes in water, i.e. 80heures, up to the ankle bone without a single drop of water penetrating the inside, unlike the EN ISO 20344 standard, which requires only 4 800 flexes (80 minutes) and allows 3 cm2 of water to penetrate. The materials used also offer up to six times higher breathability than the values required by the EN ISO 20345/347 standard.
The MACULTIMATE 3.0 RANGER GTX shoes, for their part, are equipped with a Gore-Tex Comfort membrane and thermal insulation down to -30°C. Unlike conventional insulation, the insulation developed by Gore-Tex is made of fewer hollow fibers, which makes it lighter. Its 3D structure traps air for greater insulation. Its spiral effect ensures greater flexibility and therefore more comfort. As a result, the wearer benefits from better thermal insulation with a 15% weight saving.
Reserved for a restricted circle of partners, the use of the Gore-Tex membrane requires the strictest quality controls on the market, from manufacturing through to the finished product. Gore-Tex requirements indeed exceed those of current standards, notably in terms of waterproofness, breathability and abrasion resistance.
